Whale Song is a book coaching, editing and publishing company that supports writers who are creating personal growth and spiritual nonfiction books or memoirs.
We work with people who feel called to write from lived experience—books that integrate meaning, transformation, and inner life—without rushing the creative process or forcing their work into a formula.
Most of our authors are highly sensitive, often intuitives or channels, who heard the soul call to write a book and want to do so in a way that supports their personal growth, creative process, soul guidance, nervous system, and the ecosystems of their business and livelihood.
While we offer strategic support in the form of editorial feedback, book proposal writing, and book marketing support, the heart of our work is around supporting authors through the journey of becoming the embodied authority capable of stewarding their unique messages into the world.
Through long-term book coaching, creative immersions, small group writing programs, retreats, editorial guidance, publishing support, and marketing mentorship, we help writers bring spiritually rooted and personally meaningful books into being.

In the writing phase, we offer book coaching to help you:

jumpstart a stalled partial manuscript you’ve been working on

EDIT YOUR BOOK
In the book editing phase, we offer the following editing services:
Developmental or structural editing, which focuses on content, flow, structure/organization, voice, clarity, and composition.
Copy or line editing, which focuses on paragraph and sentence level improvements, to make your writing clear, succinct, and powerful.
Proofreading, which focuses on word level to clean up in grammar, punctuation, and formatting

In the post-draft phase, we offer project management and book publishing support to help you:
Write a stellar book proposal to use in securing an agent or publisher
Design and format your book interior layout
Navigate the self-publishing processes of design, production, distribution and marketing effectively and with ease. We handle the logistics while you stay in the creative driver’s seat.
Create a book crowdfunding campaign to support the creation of your book.

If you are looking for coaching, we’ll schedule a 30-minute complimentary Discovery Call. This call will give us a chance to meet each other, talk about your project, and see if we are a fit.
Please note that Discovery Calls are sometimes scheduled a few weeks out and Jaime sometimes has a short waitlist for new clients.
